Press Release
The "Sudanese Women Gathering" Caucus, in Standing with Secularism, does not Express the Freedom of Sudan
(Translated)

Four feminist entities, namely the Women of the Popular Movement / North, the Sudanese Feminist Alliance, the Sudanese Women’s Union, and the Sudanese for Change announced an announcement according to which the ”Sudanese Women’s Gathering“ Caucus was established, in accordance to a joint statement issued by these bodies, the statement, which was received by the Sudan Tribune on December 26, said: “A comprehensive and just peace in Sudan can only be achieved by addressing the roots of the Sudanese problem,” and it added, “We stand with secularism and the separation of religion from the state, which equates all citizens and does not discriminate between them on the basis of: culture, religion, identity, race and gender.” The Women's Caucus called on the Sudanese government to abide by all the international treaties and covenants on women's issues.

Although the Sudan Women’s Caucus has been defined as a broad feminist body to organize the capabilities of women to confront the obstacles that stand in the way of Sudanese women, it is only concerned with separating religion from the state. As for the hardships of life for women in Sudan, and their deterioration in all areas, it has neither mentioned a statement nor a word of concern in this, and these women did not dare and their voices were not heard until after Hamdok and Al Hilu signed a joint declaration on September 4, 2020, after they held a series of meetings, which included declaring the separation of religion from the state.

What is the problem of Sudan? Is it the existence of religion and its control over people's lives, so that we work to separate it as the cause of the problems?! Or is it the Sudanese regional view of the problem? And the secularism that the colonial West made and then clothed us with it when it occupied our country and imposed its systems and laws on us, after it enabled certain groups of rulers to be entrusted with maintaining these miserable conditions, and which fight any reform, progress or growth in any field, and to prevent Islam from being the only bond, and to prevent the Ummah from reformulating itself on the grounds that it is a single Islamic nation, with no identity, affiliation, and no connection except Islam in terms of politics, economy and social relations in the country. But under secularism, everyone with two eyes sees injustice and tyranny present, for misery, poverty and marginalization of large segments of society, while on the other hand there is the wealthy, prosperous class, arrogant to the rest of society, to the extent that injustice would sometimes reach the point of crushing others, and it appears clear and codified at times when it comes to religious, ethnic, or cultural minorities. This matter is not considered an exception that occurs in some secular societies. Rather, it is a phenomenon with its intellectual and creedal roots, and its absence is unexpected in those societies and those who follow suit. A man, no matter how elevated his mind and soul is, makes judgments and takes measures and convictions based on his mental capacity, which Allah has created for him. And when a man decides wrongfully and aggressively to give the role of legislation to the mind, as secularism does, then the society becomes at the mercy of the legislators in the majority, who are unable to legislate what is suitable for man, due to their lack of awareness of what does not fall under their senses, so the judgment is by the whim and desires.

As for the international agreements resulting from secularism that the caucus called for signing it, it is the cause of the moral decline in Western societies, which have become morally decadent societies, societies in which sex and slave trade prevail, and interest and material benefit prevail and control the relations of society. Lying, treachery, fraud, deception, hypocrisy and betrayal are qualities acceptable to them and popular in order to achieve material interest. Societies in the West are devoid of humanitarian, moral and spiritual values, in exchange for the dominant material value that controls society's relations. This feminist Caucus, which demands the separation of religion from the state, does not express the convictions of the Muslim women of the Sudan, for it is blind and does not offer solutions, and it seeks to focus the sick concepts of the West in our country, rather it is a weak poison.

O the free women of Sudan, we invite you to work with Hizb ut Tahrir to arbitrate the law of Allah, so answer the caller of Allah, and work with them to establish the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly Guided Caliphate) upon the method of Prophethood.
