The Main Cause of Expensive Electricity is Private Power Plants Based on Usurious Riba Loans
In the electricity bills of July, the cost of electricity was Rs.56 per unit. The effect of costs for theft and provision of free units is only Rs 2.5 per unit. The average fuel cost per unit is Rs 8.34, despite the use of expensive furnace oil. The main cause of expensive electricity is the private power plants built on usurious loans. The interest is charged on the unit price of electricity, including the interest on circular debt. Another major cause of expensive electicity is consumption tax, which is illegal in Shariah law. In Islam, power plants are public property and cannot be privatized. They must be under the supervision of the state to provide electricity to the people at a reasonable price.

Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan’s Condolences to the Muslims of Morocco and Libya
In the last few days, about 3,000 Muslims have been martyred in an earthquake in Morocco, while 5,000 Muslims have been martyred after flash floods in Libya. Tens of thousands are still missing. The slowness of the governments has led to an increase in the loss of life and property. We, Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah Pakistan, on behalf of the Muslims of Pakistan, offer our condolences to our Muslim brothers. We pray to Allah ﷻ that He ﷻ raises them as martyrs on the Day of Judgment. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, الشُّهَدَاءُ خَمْسَةٌ الْمَطْعُونُ وَالْمَبْطُونُ وَالْغَرِيقُ وَصَاحب الْهدم والشهيد فِي سَبِيل الله “The martyrs are five: one who dies of plague, one who dies of an internal complaint, one who is drowned, one who is crushed, and the martyr in Allah’s path.” (Bukhari and Muslim).

Referring Our Disputes to the United Nations or Any Other Taghut has been Forbidden by Allah ﷻ
In blatant disregard of the commands of Islam regarding the liberation of occupied lands of Muslims by our armed forces, the rulers insist on referring the issue of Kashmir to the United Nations. This is even though the United Nations is a Taghut authority because it rules by other than Islam. Allah ﷻ has ordered the complete rejection of every Taghut authority. Allah ﷻ said,
[يُرِيۡدُوۡنَ اَنۡ يَّتَحَاكَمُوۡۤا اِلَى الطَّاغُوۡتِ وَقَدۡ اُمِرُوۡۤا اَنۡ يَّكۡفُرُوۡا بِهٖؕ]
“Have you not seen those who claim to believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They seek the judgment of Taghut, which they were commanded to reject.” [TMQ Surah al-Nisa 4: 60]. The Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood will abandon and reject every Taghut, including the United Nations.

Righteous Sustainable Development is Not Possible in the Capitalist System
The Prime Minister will address the 78th United Nations General Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) on 22 September 2023. Allah ﷻ created this universe in a specific order. He ﷻ said, إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ “Indeed We have created everything in an order and measure” (TMQ Surah al-Qamar 49:54). He ﷻ gave guidance to organize our affairs, in the form of Shariah commands, derived from the Noble Quran and Prophetic Sunnah. Islam alone ensures this world is run in a sustainable way. However, the capitalist system is devoid of spiritual, humanitarian and moral values. It bases its entire system on material values alone. So, the dream of sustainable development is not possible in the current system. Islam alone can develop humanity in a sustainable way, with the perfect balance of spiritual, material, humanitarian and moral values.

The Borders Created by Colonialism Are a Source of Hardship for Muslims
On 13 September 2023, political activists, transporters, traders, customs clearing agents, laborers and representatives of local organizations protested against the prolonged closure of the Torkham border at Landi Kotal. The Torkham border has been closed, since 6 September 2023. The closure of the Pak-Afghan border is a common situation. It causes great inconvenience and huge economic loss to the Muslims living on both sides of the border. Our region, our history, our heroes, our passions, our values, our happiness, our economy, our prosperity, our security and our ambitions are all one because we belong to one Deen, Islam. This daily pain and suffering caused by the closure of the border must end. The Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood will remove borders between Muslims and unify Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The Increase in Fuel Prices Confirms that the Rulers Care Only for Colonialist Interests
On the night of 15 September 2023, the government increased the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 26 and Rs 17 respectively. In a single month, the total price of petrol and diesel has increased by Rs 58 and Rs 56 respectively. With the establishment of the Khilafah, the energy resources of the Muslim World will be gathered together. All the Muslims will be partners in the ownership of Saudi oil at $6 per barrel, Qatar’s gas or Reko Diq’s gold, Thar’s coal, Pakistan’s nuclear power plants and Sudan’s uranium. It is through the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood that we will fully benefit from our huge energy resources. The Khilafah will end the colonialist division of the Muslim World into dozens of nation states.

The Change of the Chief Justice is Just a Continuation of the Brutal Non-Islamic System
Justice Qazi Faez Isa was sworn in as the 29th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court on 17 September. Previously, Faez Isa judged according to non-Islamic, secular laws, when he was the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court and when he was a judge in the supreme court. Now, as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Faez Isa continues to judge by the cruel legal system left behind by the British occupation. So, the Muslims of Pakistan cannot expect any justice from this corrupt system. The only escape for the Muslims is the establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. It is time for Khilafah.
