Recently media outlets have been reporting an appalling and increasing magnitude in the wave of children disappearing in certain areas around Dar Salaam and other areas within East Africa.

Children usually disappear under suspicious circumstances through kidnapping and others when their bodies are retrieved, show glaring signs of torture while others are discovered dead. Naturally, this has caused widespread fear and panic among parents and increased their already existing fear over the security and well-being of their children.

On our side, we would like to console all the parents for this difficult trial.

On the other side, Hizb ut Tahrir would like to openly declare that since the capitalist ideology and its ruling system via democracy started to rule the world, a child under the yoke of this ideology has neither peace, happiness nor tranquility. In short, this ideology is the source of destruction to the child both psychologically and physically.

The economic burden of the capitalist ideology in conjunction with the oppressive levies has led to hard living standards facing many parents to the extent of being unable to satisfy their children's basic needs and services. Atop, the wicked concepts and fallacy of the democratic system are on their own destruction upon psychological annihilation to children.

As for the happenings of child abduction, kidnapping and children disappearance all are results of three major factors:

Firstly: All democratic countries lack the characteristics and incentives to safeguard the security not only to children but to citizens at large. Thus affecting many areas including children receiving an education in remote areas far from their homes with a lack of adequate means of transportation to and from their homes.

Secondly: The oppressive economic system emanating from the capitalist ideology is built upon despair on its citizens. To the extent, some citizens are compelled to indulge themselves in sorcery thus using body parts of children thinking it will be a tangible solution to their hard living standards. Not mentioning the notion of amassing wealth at any cost regardless of humanitarian consideration.

Thirdly: The democratic system is not built upon the realization of the spiritual value that can soothe and console man in the face of hardship and distress. Finally, we would like to emphasize that the world shall continue to be a ground of chaos and skirmishes due to lack of security, peace and tranquility as long as the capitalist ideology continues to rule human beings.

It is now the appropriate time to all intelligent and fully aware people to resort to a different ideology that can restore peace, security, happiness, honour and guarantee prosperity and humanity.

((وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الْهُدَىٰ))

"And peace shall prevail to those who follow the right guidance" [Taha: 47]
