Improvements of Human Trafficking Act is not a solution but widens the barrier of capitalistic nationalism

On 8thJune 2015, an article written by Dr. Muzaffar Syah Mallow at Utusan News stated that it is time the Government evaluate and update all the legal provisions to curb the issue of human smuggling and trafficking. Malaysia has completely banned any forms of activities which involves human trafficking and smuggling through the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants 2007 (Act 670). This case arose as a result of the influx of Rohingya and Bangladesh refugees who have smuggled into Malaysia.

UN Excludes ‘Israel’ from List of Violator of Children’s Rights, Proving Yet Again its Function as a Compliant Tool of Western Colonial Governments

On Monday 8th June, the UN published its annual report on children and armed conflict but excluded Israel from its blacklist of states or armed groups that violate children’s rights. This is despite calls from various rights organisations to include the Jewish state on the list due to its murder of around 540 children and injuring of over 3000 in its onslaught against the Muslims of Gaza last year which also caused at least 373,000 children to require specialist psychosocial support due to the extreme distress they suffered as a result of the indiscriminate bombing of homes, hospitals and residential areas by Zionist forces

The Plight of the Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh

"I cannot sleep soundly here; I am afraid they will come any moment and force me to go back. We have no money. My husband is not allowed to work. We are just like prisoners here." - A 30-year-old refugee woman in Nayapara camp.

"The firewood usually lasts 15 days. Usually I send my child or husband to the forest to fetch wood or dry leaves, but it is dangerous; there are robbers, and the villagers or forest rangers demand money from us. They take our tools sometimes or beat us until we pay. But we don't have any money to pay.
