International Khilafah Conference:
State Reform or Comprehensive Change?
Amid mass protests by students, during which some 2000 protesters were killed by government forces and government party thugs, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country. An interim-government has taken office backed by the leaders of the students’ movement. The nation is now discussing the roadmap for a new Bangladesh, and one of the key discussions is regarding reforming or re-writing a new constitution. This conference will discuss about the true aspirations of the people, the mistakes and deceptions that recent revolutions fell victim to, as well as the need for comprehensive change and how comprehensive change can be rapidly implemented.
