Remembering the Destruction of Khilafah will Motivate to Establish it
By: Bilal Al-Muhajir – Pakistan
(Translated)

In these days of every year, we remember the fall of Islamic structure and the setting of Islamic Sun-Khilafah State. In these days of every year, we, as a best nation ever brought forth amongst the people, sum up reasons, at sometimes it was many, for our obligation to work hard day and night to establish the Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood as prophesized by the Messenger of Allah (saw), in which he says

“There will be Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood”

Besides the obligation of ruling on Islam and to make Islam as a ruling system in the life of Muslims, this is not possible except by implementing Islam politically in the state which adopts Islam as a ruling system. This state is the Khilafah state and its ruling system is the system by which Islamic Ummah had been judging (ruling) over centuries in Islamic history. As Allah (swt) says,

“And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you.” [TMQ Surah Maeda 5:49]. Allah (swt) says

“But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.” [TMQ Surah An-Nisa 4:65]

It is apparently evident in the first verse that the judgment should belong to the glorious Lord, Allah (swt) - the creator of universe, man and life. And His command is not like the command of a man, even if he is a king who has high position and vast authority. This command is the command of the lord of the kings, the one who created them. Therefore, it cannot imagine to be complacent in sacrificing all that is precious and worthy to fulfill the command of the mighty Creator, obeying him and seeking to please him. Particularly, being complacent in not judging based on the sharia of Allah raises the question mark over the Iman of a person, as it comes in the second afore mentioned verse. It is of great concern for a believer to place his Iman into measurement and into the field of suspicion, whether it exists or not.

And it makes him so disturbed day and night. Then how could the believer feel secured for his abode, whether in paradise or in Hell (May Allah protect us), while his Iman is incomplete before he meets Allah (swt) on the day of reckoning? Hence, the matter is serious and not easy for every sane who believes in the day of reckoning, the heaven and the hell.

Indeed, the life is short. To those whom Allah has guided to Iman, it is not acceptable for them to loss it in disobeying Allah. Negligence in performing the obligations of Islam is disobedience. Muslim knows that the man cannot bear the punishment of Allah, not even the least of it which is an ember from the embers of hell, as the Prophet (saw) says:

“The person, who will have the least punishment from amongst the Hell Fire people on the Day of Resurrection, will be a man under whose arch of the feet a smoldering ember will be placed so that his brain will boil because of it.” (Bukhari). If this is the least of punishment, how will be the punishment for the serious violations, the chief of it being the absence of ruling based on sharia of Allah (swt), an obligation that preserves all the obligations and the crown of it?! It is the obligation, if it is not fulfilled, all the other obligations will be lost upon the fall of its crown...In contrast, the Muslim, whom Allah (swt) guided to Iman, whom Allah enlightened his vision and wisdom to make use of his opportunity in the life, will utilize it in obeying Allah (swt). His obedience to Allah is indivisible which includes restraining from all the forbidden things particularly the major sins and performing all the obligations, the most significant of it is the obligation which cannot be performed except by those who sold their souls to seek the pleasure of Allah in order to be with the prophets, truthful, martyrs and those good companions. Allah (swt) says,

“And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment.” [TMQ Surah Tawba: 100]

The believer will not be content until he is in the front row to establish Islam in the arena of life. Prophet (sal) and the noble companions were the first to establish Islam in ruling and so they will have great rewards. And whosoever come after them when Islam is absent and work the work of companions (May Allah please with them), they will have the rewards similar to the companions and even more, as comes in the noble hadith:

“Ahead of you are the days in which patience is like holding onto an ember, for the doer (of righteous deeds) during them is the like of the reward of fifty of those who do the like of what you do." 'Abdullah bin Al-Mubarak said: "It was added for me, by other than 'Utbah, that it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah! The reward of fifty men among us, or them?' He said: 'No! Rather the reward of fifty men among you.'” [Tirmidhi]. The companions were forerunners and drawing closer (to Allah), it is therefore upon us to take the matter right and devote ourselves to be amongst the few who come in the later so that we will be equal to the companions in terms of reward and abode of paradise which is as wide as heavens and earth. As Allah (swt) says,

“And the forerunners, the forerunners. Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]. In the Gardens of Pleasure, a [large] company of the former peoples and a few of the later peoples,” [TMQ Surah Al-waqiah: 10-14]

It is inconceivable that the bad and good deeds are equal as one cannot imagine the punishment of bad deeds to be equated with the reward of good deeds. Hence Allah (swt) says that He does not do any injustice to the people.

“Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; while if there is a good deed, He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great reward.” [TMQ Surah Nisa: 40]. If saving the life of one man is like saving the whole mankind amongst Allah (swt), then how about saving the whole mankind from the evil of human ideologies and its brutality which the whole mankind are suffered with?! The work to establish Islam in the arena of life is the best deed which the Muslim performs after his belief in Allah (swt) so that the Muslim is victorious in the two worlds. And so let the competitors compete.

In addition to this decennial motivation, which needs hard work to establish the Khilafah, there are about thousand practical reasons for the mankind, not just for the Muslims, to judge themselves based on the (legislation) Sharia of the Creator, the Almighty, the one who brings justice amongst them and realizes peace and prosperity. And it is not like the secular regimes which created enmity, distress and poverty amongst them...this is the challenge which the humanity is facing now, the replacement of secular lifestyle with Islam as a system of life and system of ruling. Whether the time is extended or shortened, there is no choice for humanity to choose except Islam in order to judge amongst them. Islam will be upright and dominant over all other religions. Prophet (saw) said

“Indeed, Allah (swt) folded for me the earth, so much so that I saw its easts and wests (i.e. the extremities). The kingdom of my Ummah will reach as far as the earth was folded for me.” (Ahmed)
