News and Comment Capitalism Has Destroyed Parenthood
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
News:
The Citizen Newspaper dated July 8th 2014 reported the increasing trend of parents in Tanzania sending their children as young as three to boarding schools.
Children being sent to faraway boarding schools across the country are dangerous phenomenon in society where children still form an integral part of the family, and further more suffer the denial of much needed love and comfort which can only be found from parents at home.
The Citizen pointed out that the trend continues to raise alarm bells, and that something needs to be done urgently. Perhaps setting the age limit would be a better option in reversing this trend.
Comments:
Boarding schools are not conducive place for building up the character of the child, and had been previously blamed by many parents that they are the source of their children having evil behaviors such as homosexuality, lesbianism, adultery, alcoholism etc. However they have gained prominence due to the fact that capitalism has made women leave their homes as a bread winner for their families.
Capitalist economy has moulded some women with the idea of gaining material benefits even if they have enough to survive. Other women suffer poverty from taxation systems which ultimately coerce them to abandon their role as stay-at-home mothers and pressure them to enter workplace to boost the economy.
The high tax system imposed by the capitalist governments makes lives difficult and many family end up to let each member of their family in the quest for a job in an endeavor to become a breadwinner in order to contribute something to the family survival.
In this case capitalism has destroyed parenthood as many children who are being brought in the nursery schools or care centres lack parents care at home which deprive them of mother's love, comfort and proper supervision in their daily upbringing.
The only solution to this and other disasters of the capitalist ideology is to change the system. Indeed mankind needs to be ruled by Islam. Where by its economic system can guarantee justice and progress for all people, free from all forms of exploitations and full of social tranquility.
