Our Ummah is Alive but our Rulers are Numb

Thousands of protests and demonstrations are held worldwide from the Western states to the Middle Eastern states to the African states including East Asia even South America against the war on Gaza and the people of Palestine as of October 7, 2023, in the main cities and at the ‘Israeli’ embassies. (Crisis24)

News outlets are reluctant to show the widespread outrage and adamancy against “Israel” war raids on the Gaza Strip indiscriminately killing the people of Palestine.

The reported death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 7,000, the territory's health officials say. (NPR, 26/10/23)

Comment:

When the human race is being crushed literally and annihilated, millions of people who believe in humanity and compassion with a beating heart took to the streets in outraged protests. Thousands of videos on social media show the masses in real time marching in support for the people of Palestine and condemning the brutal Jewish entity. This restores faith in humanity while the state-run news outlets only show a glimpse while others blackout these actions. The news outlets curtail the extent of these events of solidarity with the people of Gaza while heavily highlighting the malicious propaganda of the Jewish entity.

War crimes of mass proportions wipe out at least two generations in less than three weeks. Why should and how could the Ummah cry out to the international community? When it is they who endorse and fund this murderous entity; their interests are of the highest stakes– protecting their over-reaching interests - not even the common man can fathom.

Yet the common person rejects the blanket bombing of an entire population and its genocide! Campaigns, worldwide visits to various embassies of the Muslim countries and outside the ‘Israeli’ embassies as well, reject the horrific war crimes against Gaza and its people. Masses call out to the Muslim armies to intervene.

Long gone are the days of hidden hypocrisy of the rulers, the chants of ‘death to the Shaytan’, ‘death to ‘Israel.’ Now it is humiliating lowly remarks as recently heard and seen from the Cairo Summit, all that came was “harsh criticisms”. No shame to utter such despicable words, forever to be attached to these persons who the Ummah denounces and disavows itself from these rulers of the Arab and Muslim countries. Yet after hearing their remarks, it would have been better for them to remain silent.

There remains faith in humanity. There remains faith in the words of Allah Almighty:

[لَنْ يَضُرُّوكُمْ إِلَّا أَذًى وَإِنْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ يُوَلُّوكُمُ الْأَدْبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا يُنْصَرُونَ]

“They can never inflict harm on you, except a little annoyance. But if they meet you in battle, they will flee and they will have no helpers.” [Aali-Imran 3:111]. There remains faith in the words of the Prophet (saw)

«مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ تُصِيبُهُ مُصِيبَةٌ فَيَقُولُ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَأَخْلِفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِلاَّ أَجَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي مُصِيبَتِهِ وَأَخْلَفَ لَهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا»

“If any servant (of Allah) who suffers a calamity says:" We belong to Allah and to Him shall we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and give me something better than it in exchange for it," ' Allah will give him reward for affliction, and would give him something better than it in exchange.

Our Ummah is ALIVE! Our Ummah is ALIVE! Our hearts and eyes weep for our Ummah from all continents, the oppressed people before the not oppressed people, cry out for the people of Gaza. They cry at the borders trying to march in to support their brothers, sisters, and babies wanting to rescue them.

Our Ummah is alive! By Allah, our Ummah is alive. It is our rulers who are numb to the bombardment and genocide of the Blessed Land - Palestine. The intensity is so damning, incredible yet the rulers are dumbfounded at the response.

[صُمُّۢ بُكْمٌ عُمْىٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ] “Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].” [Al-Baqara: 18]. The more politically aware nations fear the Ummah, their beating pulse and reactions in the support of their brother and sisters in Islam. Allah (swt) says,

[وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَٰفِلًا عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ ٱلْأَبْصَٰرُ]

‎”And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror]." [Ibrahim: 42]
