Although Your Figures Grow, the People Are Getting Poorer!
News:
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, who spoke at the 10th World Turkish Business Council, said, "We are determined in the fight against inflation. We have succeeded before, we will succeed again".
"This is what we demand from our banks and all of the regulations we have made so far are in this direction, but sacrifice is required to ensure price stability from where we are today. Patience is required. Yes, it is not easy, but we will achieve this and with price stability, Türkiye will be back on a high but sustainable growth path.'' (Agencies 15.09.2023)
Comment:
The stubbornness of the rulers to still achieve the right result with tried and wrong methods is dragging the society into poverty and misery day by day. In reality, to those rulers who sell hope with cliches such as "we have succeeded before" and "we will succeed again", we would like to say that you failed both yesterday and today, and as long as you continue with this understanding, you are doomed to fail in the future as well. What you presented as success yesterday were the large loans you received by paying the highest interest in history to loan sharks and the hot money you saved in your banks. Although this situation seemed like a relative improvement in the economy, the people are now paying for the hundreds of billions of dollars of interest you gave to loan sharks, waste, extravagance under the name of investment and corruption as hunger, pauperism and poverty.
The Capitalist Economic System, which has been implemented for a century, has practically enslaved the society by wasting the labor, savings and hopes of the people. However, it is an exercise in futility for you to talk about the recovery of the economy by still selling new hopes with the superstitious system that has been implemented for a century. Ministers who put emphasis on scarce resources in every platform, the idea of "meeting unlimited human needs with limited resources", which is seen as the credo of capitalism, and the emphasis on production, employment and export, which are reflections of this, are presented as if they are the key to solving all problems. If production was the solution, it would have been possible to get out of the crisis the country is in even with the current production. But the real problem that you don't want to see, that you don't talk about, is the problem of injustice in distribution in the country. The fact that the resources of the country circulate in the hands of a handful of minorities. It is the problem of unreasonable waste and gaudiness in the public sector and the wild plundering of resources. It is the paralysis of the economy with unplanned, unprogrammed and inefficient investments. It is the disease of not giving up on this understanding without caring that the resources are melted down by nepotism, bribery and corruption. It is the cruelty of passing on the bill of every failed policy to the people in the form of high taxes and hikes. Furthermore, an understanding that sees the country's economy with tightened monetary policy, that is, in increasing interest rates, is already bankrupt in every way. Especially when the legal usurious banks, which do not get off the backs of the people, break revenue records with their interest income, it is incapableness to expect patience and sacrifice from them and to think of going on the path.
Although the Economic System of Islam, which has been successfully implemented for centuries and has brought peace and prosperity to the society, is the source of the solution, turning away from it cannot be explained by either reason or faith. Insisting on the cruelty of capitalism despite the fact that even the basic needs of the people in the country are now classified as luxuries is enough and to spare for the rulers as shame and guilt. Neither your growth figures, nor your per capita figures, nor the positive ratings of international credit institutions mean anything to the society. Although your figures grow at the desk, in reality the people are being crushed and shrunk under the economic crisis.
You have left the safe path of Islam that will lead to peace, prosperity and salvation, and have settled for capitalism's path, which is the path of steepness and difficulty. We have never consented to this and never will. We will definitely realize the change and transformation for the sake of getting out of this humiliation with the permission of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and we will return to the System of Islam.
