Audacious Muscle-Flexing of IMF to grab the Rein of Bangladesh Economy Exposes the Real Master-Slave Relation

News:

The International Monitory Fund has outlined wider reform measures, including bringing discipline to the financial sector and boosting revenue collection, for Bangladesh to avail the $4.5 billion loan. The measures were discussed during a series of meetings between a visiting IMF delegation and various government agencies and departments of Bangladesh. (The Daily Star)

Comment:

The way IMF is roaming inside various government offices in Bangladesh, like the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Finance Ministry and the Bangladesh Bank (central bank of Bangladesh), is a clear violation of all protocol and diplomatic norms. Not only that, IMF representatives are conducting direct meetings with officials from the sub-divisions of these nerve centres of the country, accounting them, pressurising them and giving them directives about the future courses of actions. It exposes the master and slave relationship between IMF and Bangladesh. IMF, the neo-colonial tool of the West, did not even show minimum courtesy to their local agents disguised as politicians and government officials and as expected, the government of Bangladesh did not feel any shame in this insulting trespassing by the IMF and labelled this a ‘regular business’. Some so-called intellectuals are presenting this naked control and trespassing by this Colonialist institution as blessings for the people of Bangladesh! They are promoting the idea that policy reformation demands made by the IMF are actually a prerequisite for the stability of our economy. IMF team demanded boosting revenue collection, reducing inflation, bringing down default loans in the banking sector, withdrawing the irritable interest rate cap and imposing market-based forex rate to name a few. Zahid Hussain, a former World Bank employee stated, ‘these are well-known, age-old problems and longstanding Achilles heel of the Bangladesh economy. Now, due to the IMF pressure, government have to consider these issues seriously’. In reality, IMF knows it very well that without these problems being created and their persisting presence in the economy, no country will ask for IMF loans. Now, it’s a well-known and established fact that IMF and its allies directly or indirectly create such problems in the weak states to entangle those countries with their loan offerings (An Economic Hit Man Confesses and Calls to Action, John Perkins: TEDx Talks).

After being defeated in the crusades, the Christian Europe formed various ‘Holy Leagues’ to defeat the Muslims and launched various military assaults and missionary invasions. After 1683 CE, when the Muslims were forced to withdraw from the ‘Seize of Vienna’, these missionary invasions intensified and later succeeded in destroying of the Caliphate in 1924. However, the missionary invasion did not stop there. Now, after so many years, missionary invasion is still continuing in the guise of NGOs doing development works which numbered thousands and Church of England, Church of Sweden, Church of Denmark, Evangelical Lutheran Church and other Church Authorities besides the colonial schemes like USAID, UKAID, DANINA etc. are pouring billions of dollars every year into those NGOs to operate in the Muslim lands. So it is not believable that IMF is imposing conditions only to secure the instalments of its few billion dollar loans while the owners of IMF have been spending so generously in various overt and coverts projects in Bangladesh. The fact is that, those NGOs are working in the grassroots of Bangladeshi society to spread the Kufr belief, concepts and cultures of those Colonialist States to generate acceptance of these ideas by the Muslim population and IMF/World Bank have been working to formalize and institutionalise their control over our State in the long run. In the Glorious Quran Allah (swt) warned us about their real intentions:

“They (disbelievers) do not fall short of inflicting harms upon you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mounts, but what their hearts conceal is much worse.” [Aali-Imran: 118].
