A Poor People, Caged in a Mountain of Gold

News:

Inflation in Pakistan is expected to cross 15 percent by summer and with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization showing record-high food prices through its Food Price Index, which now stands at 159– the highest since it was formed in 1990– this will put further upward pressure on food prices in Pakistan. Comment:

The current crisis in Pakistan has much deeper roots than just being an economic or political phenomenon of the time; it leads back to its ideological decomposition. In fact, the whole world seems to be a victim, and the ones who are supposed to help them out claim that the answer to the trouble is in reinforcement of the trouble. It is impossible to attain the status of First World countries that are considered epitomes of success and prosperity, because those First World countries are the parasites that do not let the Third World countries grow.

If we have a look at the golden era of Islam, we will see that it emerged from the Arabian Peninsula, conquering the old Egyptian, Persian, Roman, and Near Eastern Empires. All areas of growth thrived under the rule of Islam and soon turned into a brilliant civilization of great scientific, philosophic, and artistic abilities. As Islam works in obedience of Allah (swt), it did not have any hidden twisted conspiracies aiming for a sickening submission of the world population to worldly desires, where the power rests in the hands of the people who fail to fit in as humans, but dare to play god.

Instead, Islam was an open invitation to the whole world, calling everyone to join in and work for the betterment of mankind. Translations of Arabic research and texts into Latin "led to the transformation of almost all disciplines in the medieval Latin world", resulting in an uplift of an overall living.

Today’s situation in all the Third World countries, especially the Muslim ones, is a result of the supremacy of Western and European agendas that are thought up and created to coerce the vulnerable resulting in caging all the others and restricting the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual supplies and growth, with the help of local faces and names.

More than 20 percent of Pakistan’s population is undernourished, and nearly 45 percent of children younger than five years of age are stunted, according to the UN World Food Program (WFP). If we only have a look at Pakistan and its neighbouring countries, we will see that they are full of resources and blessed with good weather. Our soil is fertile for agriculture and it is the largest source of foreign exchange earnings. We have reserves of salt, minerals, precious stones and coal. With all these blessings from Allah, if the government still fails to meet the needs of its people, then there is no better proof of our assets being in the wrong hands. Agricultural practices of the government in the last seven decades have not been fruitful, and the reason is neglecting the agriculture sector.

Pakistan and other countries do not need folders and folders of economic reports by the foreign institutions that are actually the reason behind the misery. Commodities are out of reach, as whatever we produce and whatever we work for is used in paying the interest on the loans taken by the puppet regimes. The solutions of these problems lie in the establishment of the Khilafah that will make sure that the Ummah’s assets are utilized to meet the needs of its people. The Islamic history had many great rulers and conquerors who understood that they were responsible for their people and this gave them sleepless nights; we have examples like Umar Bin Abdulaziz. Because of his economic reforms, money overflowed and he ordered to establish the caravansaries for travelers at highways. He once wrote to people, “Bring before me every newborn baby for giving money, as this originally is your money and we are giving it back to you.”

Allah's Messenger (saw) said,

«لَوْ كَانَ لِي مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا، مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنْ لاَ يَمُرَّ عَلَىَّ ثَلاَثٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ، إِلاَّ شَىْءٌ أُرْصِدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ»

"If I had gold equal to the mountain of Uhud, it would not please me that it should remain with me for more than three days, except an amount which I would keep for repaying debts." [Narrated Abu Huraira]

How can a Muslim claim the love and shafa’a of Muhammad (saw), while he is given authority over his people and he hoards money for himself and let the Ummah of the Holy Prophet suffer? Here comes the role of the Muslim Ummah. The bounties of Allah are for His slaves and if they know that they and others are suffering because of their silence, then they are being negligent of their duties, i.e., enjoining the good and forbidding the Munkar.
