America failing in Afghanistan

US Secretary of Defence Ashton Carter announced on Friday that President Obama had approved changes to its military policy in Afghanistan allowing greater American participation in the war against the mujahideen. There has been an escalation in fighting from the Taliban over the past year that America has been unable to control, either in the field or through negotiations. Large parts of rural Afghanistan remain under Taliban control.

The new rules allow the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, General John Nicholson, to provide support for regular Afghan forces where this is strategically valuable, whereas previously they were only allowed to accompany Afghan Special Forces. Josh Earnest, Obama's press secretary, said on Friday that US forces will play a "more proactive" role in helping local troops "be more effective in the battlefield"; US support will come in the form of "advice and assistance" to Afghan military, as well as "occasionally accompanying them in their operations".

The US had planned to announce reductions in official troop levels at this time, from the current figure of 9,800 to 5,500 by the start of 2017. A group of retired generals and senior diplomats urged Obama last week to cancel these plans. Friday's announcement changing the rules of engagement for US military forces in Afghanistan could be to reconcile senior military officers to this decision. Obama is very keen to proceed with his drawdown as he does not want to leave the Afghan war for the next US president to have to solve. Already the Afghan war is the longest war ever fought by America.

Muslims everywhere are recognizing the reality of American imperialism and intensifying their struggle against it. It is only a matter of time, inshaAllah, that Western colonialism will be fully ejected from Muslim lands.

Ban Ki Moon Admits UN Pressurised by Member States

At least since the assassination of the second United Nations Secretary-General, Dag Hammarskjold, in 1961 it is openly known that the decisions of the Secretary-General are dictated by the great powers.

However, only now, in his last, tenth year as secretary-general of the United Nations, has Ban Ki Moon openly admitted to making a decision under the coercion of member states alleging threats of withholding financing for UN operations. But the decision that Ban Ki Moon has chosen to cite is regarding the removal of the Saudi coalition in Yemen from a blacklist of war crimes, suggesting that funding pressure from Saudi Arabia was the reason for this.

Ban Ki Moon failed to mention that America is the greatest authority over the person of the secretary-general; America has not only threatened to withhold funds but has actually done so repeatedly in the past. Even Mark C. Toner, the US State Department spokesman, was not able to deny this. Initially he said, "We agree with the secretary-general that the U.N. should be permitted to carry out its mandate, carry out its responsibilities, without fear of money being cut off." But when he was pressed about America's threatening of the United Nations, he responded saying, "I'm aware of our own track record."

Ban Ki Moon, like many secretary-generals before him, is simply an agent of the Western powers. He cannot utter even a word against his masters, who he hopes will support him after leaving his present post, as he hopes to then assume the presidency of his native South Korea, whose government is firmly under American control.

Muslims need to recognise the true reality of the United Nations and stop accepting from our rulers that they refer every little issue of Muslims to this body. The United Nations is not our organisation. We have to establish our own organisation to solve our issues, i.e. the true Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" (Caliphate) working on the method of the Prophethood.

Mohammad Ali a threat to the US in death as in life

America worked hard against the rise of Muslims in the United States in the 1960s. The Muslim leader, Malcolm X, was even assassinated in 1964. Soon after Mohammad Ali, the boxer, became Muslim, public opinion was turned against him and when he refused to fight America's dirty war in Vietnam, he was prevented from competing in his sport.

Now in death, media coverage of Mohammad Ali has been kept carefully focused away from discussion of his religion and, other than family members, speeches given at his funeral on Friday were almost all given by non-Muslims, including ex-President Clinton. Only the daughter of Malcolm X was allowed to speak. The scheduled speeches of Turkish President Erdogan and Jordanian King Abdullah were cancelled, even though these are loyal agents to the West.

America is well aware of the power of Islam and is most fearful of its rise within America itself.
