Putin says Russia will 'neutralise threats' after US opens missile base

The US on Thursday activated a missile defence station in Romania and on Friday held a groundbreaking ceremony for another such installation in Poland, due to be operational in 2018. Both are former Communist countries in Eastern Europe close to the Russian border. Putin said, "This is not a defence system. This is part of a US nuclear strategic potential brought on to a periphery."

Meanwhile, Obama concluded a summit in Washington with the leaders of the Scandinavian countries, of which Denmark and Norway said on Friday they would contribute to the "enhanced allied forward presence" with NATO.

Despite close cooperation between Russia and America in Syria, America is intensifying pressure on Russia in other conflict areas. America is demonstrating to the world that cooperation with America is never beneficial.

In fact, intensifying pressure becomes inevitable once any state enters into a close relationship with America. This is because America needs to be assured that its dictation will be followed. So once America begins to use another state, then it must increase pressure on the state on many fronts to ensure that the state will follow American instructions.

Russia is a large power and it is playing an important role for America in Syria. So America must take very significant steps to ensure that Russia does not violate the American plan there.

China Indicts Former President's Top Aide

State media reported on Friday that Chinese prosecutors have indicted the former top aide to ex-President Hu Jintao on corruption charges. Ling Jihua served as head of the Communist Party's General Office, a position similar to the US President's Chief of Staff or the muawin tanfeez to the Khalifah.

The anti-corruption campaign in China is working to strengthen President Xi Jinping's hold on the Communist Party, the government and the media. Hu Jintao was the president of China immediately before President Xi. The Communist Youth League has also received criticism recently and this was considered to be a key powerbase for Hu Jintao.

The actions of China's President, like many of his predecessors, are a very practical demonstration of the error of collective leadership. Chinese Communist Party is designed on the principle that rule will be shared collectively through a structure of committees. In actual practice, of course, it is impossible for authority to be collective; it is in the nature of authority that it must be held by an individual. Therefore, Communist parties such as in China and North Korea are forced to undertake purges of senior officials in the name of anti-corruption drives.

Central Asia-South Asia Electricity Link

Leaders of Pakistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan gathered on Thursday to launch the Central Asia-South Asia (CASA)-1000 project, a 1200km link carrying 1300 MW of electricity connecting the four countries by 2018. The CASA-1000 link will provide surplus electricity from the two Central Asian countries to the other two countries.

America is eager to establish connections between Central Asia and South Asia in order to balance its connections to Russia. A senior US official was present at the meeting: the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Central Asia spoke at the ceremony and said that Washington is contributing $15 million for the project.

The rulers of Muslims are not ready to take any step, even a small step in regional cooperation, without specific direction from their Western masters.

Germany Elects First Muslim Woman as Parliament Speaker

After the election of Sadiq Khan as mayor of London, Muhterem Aras has been elected the first Muslim woman speaker of a state parliament in Germany. Originally from Turkey, Aras moved to Germany along with her parents as a child and began her political career with the Green Party in 1992.

European countries are working hard to try to integrate Muslims into their non-Islamic political systems. They hope that by doing so they will be able to draw Muslims away from following Islam as a comprehensive ideology that includes ruling, economics and other systems of life.
At the same time, they hope that having Muslims in their government structures will help them to obscure the Western agenda of attacking Islam. The West has already been using Muslims as agents for a long time in Muslim countries. Now it needs to find some Muslims to serve as agents in Western countries also.
