BRICS Cannot Provide any Alternate to the West
This week, Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted the 14th BRICS summit by video link, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (whose initials form the acronym ‘BRICS’). These large but non-Western countries compromise about 26% of the Earth’s surface and 42% of its population. According to Arab News,
The host of Thursday’s virtual BRICS summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping, wants the bloc to move beyond its differences on the Russian invasion of Ukraine and focus on a clear forward agenda, including expanding the group. This is why Beijing last month invited nine other countries to attend its meetings: Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Egypt, the UAE, Indonesia, Nigeria, Senegal and Thailand.
In his opening remarks, President Xi said,
“We should embrace solidarity and coordination and jointly maintain world peace and stability.”
BRICS has come to be seen as a platform for Chinese ascendancy and an alternate to the West. But BRICS has established itself within the framework of the Westphalian nation-state world order and the American-built post-World War II architecture of international organisations such as the United Nations, the IMF and the World Bank. In addition to this. BRICS includes countries that are agents to the West: South Africa is controlled by Britain and India, under the BJP, is within the American orbit. Despite the end of formal imperialism, it’s really only a handful of great powers that determine most of the affairs of the world, with the rest of the world’s so-called independent states falling under the control of one or other of them.
The reality of great power domination must be exposed so that humanity is aware of the extent of their domination of global affairs. The real political choice is not that which is provided by elite-managed democratic elections; the real political choice is to decide which great power to be aligned with, and to choose whether to follow one of those present today, or whether to work to establish a new one.
With the permission of Allah (swt), the Muslim Ummah shall soon arise and re-establish the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) State on the method of the Prophet (saw) that shall unify all Muslim lands, liberate her occupied territories, implement the Islamic sharia, restore the Islamic way of life and carry the light of Islam to the entire world. By doing so the Khilafah State shall escape the categories imposed upon Muslim countries by the Western world order. The Khilafah State shall, almost from its inception, join the ranks of the great powers, on account of its great size, immense population, vast resources, unparalleled geography, and unique Islamic ideology. The Khilafah State shall provide the real alternative to Western world domination by introducing not only a political but also an intellectual alternative to the Western world order.
Middle Eastern Countries in Preparations for Biden’s Forthcoming Visit
This week, the countries of the Middle East saw multiple developments related to the forthcoming visit of US President Joe Biden. According to al-Monitor:
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has held meetings with Arab leaders, including Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in the lead-up to US President Joe Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia slated for mid-July.
Turkey also received the Saudi Crown Prince, in a clear attempt to help normalise his international status; according to al-Jazeera:
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) travelled to Turkey for the first time in years for talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, aiming to fully normalise ties that were ruptured after the 2018 killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
Biden’s visit is important. A former Egyptian member of government is quoted by al-Monitor as saying:
Saudi Arabia’s invitation to Egypt, Jordan and Iraq to participate in the summit that will be attended by the GCC with Biden adds a strategic dimension to it, as the participating countries have almost identical visions about the Arab and security situations in the Middle East, the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, Moreover, Egyptian-Arab coordination is in the interest of Arab national security in general.
The article also quotes an Egyptian analyst is quote by al-Monitor as saying:
Biden will meet with the most prominent leaders of the (Arab) region in one country (Saudi Arabia), and this is something that has not happened before, and therefore we are waiting to see the vision of the current US administration and its point of view regarding the Middle East and the thorny issues in it.
Meanwhile Jordan’s King Hussain has called for a NATO type formation in the Middle East, according to CNBC:
Jordan’s King Abdullah II said he would support the formation of a Middle East military alliance similar to NATO, and that it can be done with countries that are like-minded.
The kingdom works actively with NATO and sees itself as a partner of the alliance, having fought “shoulder-to-shoulder” with NATO troops for decades, the monarch told CNBC’s Hadley Gamble on Wednesday.
“I’d like to see more countries in the area come into that mix,” he said.
“I would be one of the first people that would endorse a Middle East NATO,” Abdullah said.
The Middle East is fully dominated by the West. But America has needed to reduce its onerous engagements there in order to concentrate on the threat of China’s rise, which more directly threatens America, as there is only the Pacific Ocean between them. To do so America needs to create a new architecture in the Middle East, so that its countries can engage with each other on American terms alone, under America’s full supervision and control. It is for this reason that Biden is making his first presidential visit to the Middle East, with the full compliance and facilitation of the cowering, gutless, obsequious and sycophantic rulers of the region.
With the permission of Allah (swt) the Muslim Ummah shall soon arise and overthrow the entire agent class of rulers that currently govern Muslim countries on behalf of the disbelieving imperialist West, and in their place establish sincere, capable, indigenous leadership true to the Muslim Ummah and their Deen of Islam. Such leaders are already present within the body of the Ummah in great numbers but the West’s current agent rulers and their systems oppress them and hinder their voices from being heard. But Allah (swt) says in the Noble Qur’an:
[وَإِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِيُثْبِتُوكَ أَوْ يَقْتُلُوكَ أَوْ يُخْرِجُوكَ وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ]
“And [remember, O Muḥammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.” [Al-Anfal:30].
