Two Koreas use Winter Olympics Games to Seek Peace while America Seeks War
While North and South Korea are using the Winter Olympic Games, hosted by the South, to calm relations through fielding a joint Korean team, the American response is to continue to incite conflict in the region. According to the Chicago Tribune:
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is pouring cold water on the warming ties between North and South Korea just as the two still-warring countries are joining up to compete together in the Winter Olympics.
Making his way to Pyeongchang to lead the U.S. delegation to Friday's opening ceremonies, Pence has embarked on a set of symbolic visits designed to draw attention to the North's terrible human rights record and nuclear aggression. With determined rhetoric — and the promise of more "aggressive" economic sanctions against the North — Pence is looking to refocus American allies on the North Korean threat.
"We will not allow North Korea to hide behind the Olympic banner the reality that they enslave their people and threaten the wider region," Pence said Wednesday after meetings with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo.
And according to CBS News:
A White House official said Vice President Mike Pence and the sister of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un did not interact despite being seated just feet apart during the Olympic opening ceremony. Pence was seated between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The dictator's sister, Kim Yo Jong, and the country's 90-year-old nominal head of state, Kim Yong Nam, were seated a row behind.
The White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said Pence stood only for the U.S. team, despite other people in the box standing and applauding when athletes from the two Koreas walked in together. The games are taking place amid an international standoff over North Korea's nuclear weapons.
America does not deserve to be the world’s superpower. America from its inception was built on the oppression, killing and dispossession of the native people of its lands and it has carried this same disposition as its power and influence has expanded across the world. It is America that has incited time and again the North Koreans in order to create conflict on China’s border to justify American military presence and intimidate China’s neighbours into alliance with the US. And it is America that has continuously provoked the Chinese people to abandon a peaceful socioeconomic existence and instead turn to militarisation, regional hegemony and the pursuit of global aspirations.
The American reign must end. When Islam was the world superpower, peace and prosperity prevailed across the globe and military conflict remained at a minimum. With Allah’s permission, we will soon witness the re-emergence of Islam on the world stage, and a new dawn of peace and justice for mankind.
US Uses Airstrikes at Deir Ezzor to Continue to Micromanage Syrian War from afar
Fearful of directly entering the war in Syria, America continues to micromanage the war from afar, setting out roles for multiple players and applying force when anyone steps out of place. According to CNN:
The United States' air artillery strikes in northeastern Syria overnight Wednesday were a forceful response to attempts by pro-regime forces to push into areas held by the coalition's allies. The US has drawn a line in the sand -- indicating that any attempt by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime to recover territory east of the Euphrates River will be met with powerful retaliation.
US officials estimate that more than 100 of approximately 500 pro-regime troops involved were killed. The remainder retreated across the Euphrates. The official Syrian state news agency SANA reported that the overnight attack had hit "tribal fighters."
The Euphrates has become a de facto border between regime-held areas and the 23% of Syrian territory held by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) -- a mix of Kurdish and Arab militia. They hold ground all the way from oil-rich Deir Ezzor in the east to Raqqa and up to the Turkish border.
Assad is undoubtedly an agent of America, who has been supported against the revolution. But at the same time, America has drawn limits for Assad’s authority, and the authority of other forces in Syria and the region, just as the British had previously done with the Sykes-Picot patchwork agreement between the UK and France and assented to by Russia.
America’s management of multiple allies and agents in Syria is an indication not of American strength but of American weakness. America fears to directly enter the Syrian war theatre with its own military forces and limits its own military activity to cowardly air strikes or limited numbers of ground ‘advisers’ working far from the front lines. And yet our rulers continue to obey the American master. Are these slaves unable to perceive the American weakness, or will they continue to labour, like the jinn of Suleiman (a.s.), until long after the master can command no longer.
Egypt Adopts Western Practice of Using Brutal Military Force against Civilians
It has become normal for Western powers, despite their talk of compassion for humanity, to use unparalleled military force against civilian populations, and it is becoming normal for Western agent rulers of Muslim countries to follow the same practice even upon their own people. The Egyptian regime has become the latest example of a Muslim government employing brute military force over its own civilian population. According to Reuters:
Egypt launched a major assault against militants on Friday focused on the Sinai peninsula, where Islamic State has staged deadly attacks, aiming to crush their insurgency by an end of February deadline set by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.…
In a Facebook posting on his account, Sisi wrote: “I follow with pride the heroic actions of my sons in the armed forces and police to clear Egypt’s territory of terrorist elements.”
A military spokesman said the operation would cover large parts of Sinai, but also parts of the Nile Delta and the Western Desert, where other militants have waged attacks, some believed to be staged out of neighboring Libya.
Security sources said on Thursday the operation, which had been in planning for some time, was unprecedented in its scope, coordination and size, involving thousands of troops, but did not provide further details.
“The armed forces calls upon the Egyptian people in all parts of the country to closely cooperate with law enforcement forces to confront terrorism, uproot it and immediately report any elements threatening the security and stability of the country,” military spokesman, Colonel Tamer al-Rifai, said in a televised address.
Rifai said in a second statement the air force had targeted militant hide-outs in north and central Sinai, while the navy tightened its maritime control to cut off supply lines.
A security source told Reuters on Thursday that security measures had been tightened with increased patrols in North Sinai provincial capital al-Arish and checks of residents.
State television said on Friday that all schools in North Sinai had been ordered shut from Saturday until further notice.
The increased use of military force by Muslim regimes indicates a collapse in their political authority as the Muslim Ummah has come to realise that their rulers care only for their own personal interests and the interests of their Western masters. The time is near, with Allah’s permission, that the Muslim Ummah will overthrow these rulers and give their support to sincere, indigenous, ideological leadership that will re-establish the righteous Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate) State that will rule according to the Book and the Sunnah and carry its light to the entire world.
