Myanmar Conflict

Violence erupted in Rakhine state just over a week ago and many have been killed and or on the run. Refugees have accused the Myanmar security forces and Buddhist mobs of burning their villages. The Myanmar government says their security forces are responding to an attack last month on more than 20 police posts by Rohingya militants but it is clear that the Muslim civilians are the true victims of this conflict. Rakhine, the poorest region in Myanmar, is home to more than a million Rohingya. They have faced decades of persecution in the Buddhist-majority country, where they are not considered citizens. In response, Sheikh Hasina (may Allah hasten her brutal demise) has taken hands with the enemy against the Muslims by ordering her police to prevent the Rohingya from fleeing. In rebellion, the Bangladeshi police have ignored her direct orders and chosen to side with those who Allah is most pleased with. The violence continues, until the time comes for the Khilafah (Caliphate) to liberate our brothers and sisters in Myanmar.

Syrian Army Breaks into Deir al Zour

This week has seen a major breakthrough in the Syrian war with the army breaking into ISIS controlled Deir al Zour as it seeks to take over its capital. The coalition of al-Assad, Russia, Hezbollah and Iran have penetrated through the ranks and have already started to declare victory. Similar to Iraq, such grand moves are used in order to strengthen the armies, morale and public confidence in the regime to position them as legitimate entities who are still fit to take charge. As the revolution carries on, the regime is being posited as more of a viable option for ruling in post war Syria. However, this is far from the truth as the bulk of the work is done by the other supporting power as opposed to a continually overstretched regime.

North Korea Tames the US

North Korea tested is largest nuclear device on September 3rd 2017. The US Geological Service and the China Earthquake Administration recorded a 6.3 magnitude earthquake as a result of the detonation. The North Korean government claimed that they had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb. It also said that the hydrogen bomb tested was specifically designed to fit into an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). North Korea has now developed nuclear weapons and the missiles to launch them, despite decades of isolation and sanctions.

US president Donald Trump, despite all his sober rattling has failed to stop North Koreas programme or even do anything about it. Military intervention by the US is fraught with danger as Seoul, South Koreas capital is a mere 30 miles from North Koreas border and its range of ballistic missiles and artillery means US allies will suffer from catastrophic destruction. The small hermit kingdom has tamed the empire.
