Trump uses Ramadan commencement to again lecture Muslims about Islam

Not satisfied with humiliating Muslims by summoning their rulers to Riyadh, US President Donald Trump has again chosen to lecture on Islam in his note on the commencement of Ramadan. According to the Washington Post:

“President Trump issued a statement on Ramadan — a holy month of fasting and prayer for Muslims around the world — that focused primarily on violence and terrorism. His statement was a stark contrast from the Ramadan message President George W. Bush issued in the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001, in which he emphasized how millions of Americans are Muslim and explained Islamic belief.

“At its core, the spirit of Ramadan strengthens awareness of our shared obligation to reject violence, to pursue peace, and to give to those in need who are suffering from poverty or conflict,” Trump wrote.

Trump noted recent terrorist attacks in the United Kingdom and in Egypt, “acts of depravity that are directly contrary to the spirit of Ramadan. Such acts only steel our resolve to defeat the terrorists and their perverted ideology.”

Trump also noted his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, where he gave a speech on terrorism. “I reiterate my message delivered in Riyadh: America will always stand with our partners against terrorism and the ideology that fuels it,” he said in the statement.

It has always been the tactic of evil tyrants to accuse those who oppose them of spreading terror. America is itself at this time the greatest propagator of terror and violence throughout the earth, perhaps surpassing even what was committed by the British Empire. They have extended the use of terror and violence far beyond the remit of legitimate warfare, and they are in fact the actual patrons, through direct funding or otherwise, of most of the so-called Islamic militant attacks that occur in the world today.

Sisi finds another opportunity to support Haftar in Libya

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has chosen to use a militant attack against Coptic Christians in southern Egypt to launch an attack in Libya. According to Reuters:

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said he had ordered strikes against what he called terrorist camps, declaring in a televised address that states that sponsored terrorism would be punished.

Egyptian military sources said six strikes took place near Derna in eastern Libya at around sundown, hours after masked gunmen attacked a group of Coptic Christians traveling to a monastery in southern Egypt, killing 29 and wounding 24.

The Egyptian military said the operation was ongoing and had been undertaken once it had been ascertained that the camps had produced the gunmen behind the attack on the Coptic Christians in Minya, southern Egypt, on Friday morning.

"The terrorist incident that took place today will not pass unnoticed," Sisi said. "We are currently targeting the camps where the terrorists are trained."”

In fact, Sisi is least interested in protecting the security and wellbeing of Egypt’s citizens, whether Christian or Muslim. Sisi’s real purpose is to continue his intervention in the Libyan civil war to stabilise eastern Libya under the control of General Haftar, who is as much an American agent as is Sisi. Haftar spent close to two decades living in America, near CIA headquarters and only returned to Libya in 2011. Sisi, like many of the senior generals in the Egyptian army, does not see how it is possible to rule Egypt without American support, patronage and instruction. Muslims will never be able to escape Western tyranny until we accept indigenous sincere Islamic political leadership, instead of obeying disbelieving foreigners.

France eager for Europe to participate in Syria

An unnamed French diplomat has indicated that a key agenda point for the G-7 Summit is how to enable Europe to return to Syria. According to Reuters:

“The United States' reengagement in Syria's war gives impetus to the Group of Seven nations to find a political solution to a conflict going on now for over six years, a senior French diplomat said on Friday.

France, a NATO ally and key backer of the Syrian opposition, has sharply criticised U.S. policy in Syria since the Obama administration pulled back from launching strikes against President Bashar al-Assad in 2013 after a chemical attack that killed hundreds of people.

Since the arrival of President Donald Trump, all eyes have been on what the U.S. approach to ending the war in Syria might be beyond the fight to crush Islamist militants.

New French President Emmanuel Macron has also made eradicating Islamic State, which controls large swathes of Syria, one of his top foreign policy priorities.

He has yet to outline a clear policy on how he sees a political transition in Syria, but brought up the subject on Friday with his U.S., British, Japanese, Italian, German and Canadian counterparts at the G7 Summit in Sicily.

"There is something new because we have the reengagement of the United States in Syria and four of the leaders in this format are here for the first time, so it's important to harmonise the positions of these countries and get some collective momentum," said the French diplomat, speaking on background.”

The Muslim world is an arena for competition between the disbelieving Western imperialist countries. American dominance in Syria is such that the Europeans have been almost completely eliminated from any role whatsoever. Now, as the West assumes that the Syrian conflict is close to ending, European leaders are eager to find some way of participating in the vast wealth and strategic importance of this region. Only the return of the true Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" State, modelled on the method of the Prophet (saw) will liberate the Muslim Ummah from the rapacious control of the West.
