The head of the Arab Women Organization for the current session (2013 - 2015 CE), Widad Babiker, wife of the Sudanese president has confirmed on Saturday, 25/01/2014 CE that the organization held a number of conferences which approved the adoption of the Arab Women Revival Charter, in addition to the priorities of its work to achieve the aspirations of the Arab women. 

Radio Free Asia on 13/01/2014 revealed further details of the brutal case in December involving a Uyghur woman from the Muslim-majority Xinjiang region who six months into her pregnancy was forced by the Chinese authorities to have an abortion.
