Closing Statement of the Press Conference Held by Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Yemen on 17/02/2014 Entitled: "Federalism: Is it the People's Demand or the West's Demand?!"

Addressing and exposing the schemes of the Kafir West and its agents in the land of Yemen, and pursuant to Allah's orders upon us, of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, and not to remain silent of the right, particularly in light of the heated international conflict in the good land due to its resources. And in light of the disastrous results of the outputs of dialogue to Yemen and its people, to divide the country into federal regions which was not the demand of the people of Yemen and not the demand of their revolution. Instead these solutions were imposed from the nests of the Western embassies, which further incite the situation in Yemen, propelling it towards further deterioration in the areas of political, economic, social and other...

Accordingly, at the end of this conference we affirm the following:

1. It is not allowed to divide the country under any name whatsoever, and that federalism is invalid according to both Islam and by de facto. It is a solution imposed by the West on the people of Yemen and it was not what the people came out for in their revolution.

2. That the West has derailed the revolution and exploited it for its own benefit. In particular Britain which has maintained its interests and those of its agents among the ruling families, where it sought to contain the revolution by finding a political settlement between those families.

3. America in its conflict with Britain on Yemen will not stand idle and will lead the country through its agents to further chaos and assassinations, unless the people of Yemen work for the real change that prevents the Western domination over them.

4. Federalism is a crime against the people of Yemen. The burden of its sin and its consequences will be incurred by all those who gave confidence to the West among the parties, organizations, politicians and scholars who participated in the signing of the document in the dialogue, and the one who does not deny that has a great share of the sin.

5. Hizb ut Tahrir calls upon all spectrums of political action to prevent the West, particularly America and Britain from interfering in the Affairs of Yemen (Yemeni people are not underage for it to need custody), and not to deal with those colonial powers that whose black history in Palestine, Iraq, Sudan, Pakistan, Afghanistan and elsewhere is well known to us.

6. We call upon our people in Yemen to stand by these colonial projects with an attitude that pleases their Lord and commensurate with the faith and wisdom which Allah honored them with. And that they work with Hizb ut Tahrir to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing the rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate". The party has put forward an integrated project in all aspects of life derived from the Islamic Aqeedah, worthy of embracing, and a guarantor to resolve the problems.
