Press Release
Care in Yemen is Weaker than a Spider's Web!
(Translated)
Floods resulting from heavy rains on Saturday 8/31/2024 in Bani Musa Al-Jarf district in Wusab As Safil District in Dhamar governorate, caused the death of 27 people, the injury of 8 people, and the loss of 2 people. The media reported that the floods also caused the demolition of 15 houses, damage to 8 houses in Wadi Al-Akhshab district, and the sweeping away of 4 cars, 2 motorcycles, and a shop. Earlier, the United Nations said that the floods that swept through Al-Mahwit governorate last Tuesday 8/27/2024 resulted in the death and loss of more than 41 people and affected about a thousand families. The United Nations Population Fund indicated that the disaster came as a result of heavy rains and the explosion of three dams in Malhan district.
The rainfall in various areas of the country since the beginning of last August has led to the death of more than 120 people, and affected about a quarter of a million people, especially those living in displacement camps, valleys and plains, and has caused severe damage to homes, property, farms and roads in several Yemeni governorates. These disasters add to the suffering of the people of Yemen who are suffering greatly. The suffering will continue as long as Muslims live without a state that implements the Shariah of their Lord and their affairs are taken over by criminal rulers who are agents of the West. We have seen nothing from them except bloodshed, looting of money, conflict over seats, and selling the country and its people to serve the interests of the kufr (disbelieving) colonial West!
The people of Yemen have followed the appeals of the people of Hamdan district in Malhan district in Al Mahwit governorate to the official authorities to help them, but these appeals were met with negligence and indifference to the people's suffering. Two days after the disaster, the head of the Saba News Agency in Sana'a stated that access to the area was still difficult due to the road closures! This statement shows the extent to which negligence has reached with regard to people's lives and property, leaving the task of rescue, shelter and first aid to the community role! Is it reasonable that the capabilities of an entire country have failed to find a means to help the afflicted?!
The sources of taxes that the Sana'a authority collects are countless, as there is no longer any government service agency, but rather they have all become revenue-generating! The so-called legitimate areas also enjoy resources and wealth, and only officials and influential people benefit from them. The prominent slogan of these rulers, as well as their predecessors, is that rule is a gain (power and wealth), and eating people's money unjustly through levies and forbidden taxes and depriving the Ummah of its resources in order to fill their bellies and veins and enjoy the Ummah's money, not caring about the people's suffering and misfortune! Wherever you go, you will not find care even in the simplest matters! These rulers ignore that taking care of affairs is their responsibility, as it is their duty to maintain dams, pave and repair roads, move residents in flood paths to safe areas, and provide infrastructure, health care and services...
The ruler in Islam must be a shepherd and servant of the Ummah. On the authority of Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, on the authority of the Prophet (saw) he said: «فَالْأَمِيرُ الَّذِي عَلَى النَّاسِ رَاعٍ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُمْ»“Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).
We have in the Messenger of Allah a good example and the highest model; Al-Bukhari narrated on the authority of Anas who said: The Prophet (saw) was the best of people, the most generous of people, and the bravest of people. The people of Medina were frightened one night, so the people set out towards the sound, and the Prophet (saw) met them, having preceded the people to the sound, and he was saying: «لَنْ تُرَاعُوا لَنْ تُرَاعُوا»"Do not be alarmed. Do not be alarmed." He was riding a horse belonging to Abu Talha without a saddle and a sword was hung around his neck. He said, "I found it (the horse) like a great river" or it was a great river (meaning its speed).
O Muslims: The only solution to save humanity from the evils of the tyrants and the oppressors is only the return of Islam as an applied system; it is a divine system that addresses all the needs of humanity and looks after the affairs of humanity in general and Muslims in particular, and it is the only one that achieves true care.
