Press Release
Press Conference regarding the Rise in Fuel Prices
(Translated)

On 18 Dhul Qi'ddah 1434 AH, 24 September 2013 CE, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan organized a Press Conference in its East Khartoum office titled:

"The Rise in Fuel Prices... Yet Another Step to Crush the Poor People and the Manufacture of More Poverty."

The official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan, Brother Ibrahim Uthman (Abu Khalil), gave an address explaining the vehement rejecting opinion of the Hizb regarding the recent increase of the fuel prices. With the ranging rates of 66% increase in the price of the petrol per gallon, 73% increase in the price of gasoline, and 67% increase in the price of the cooking gas cylinder. These increases are considered to be solutions as a by-product of the corrupt capitalist system.

Following that, the spokesman then read out the leaflet issued by Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan which carries the same title as the Press Conference. He then received comments and questions from the attendees which included the media and others to which he answered. He ended with a message directed to the Ummah to rise up to its duty to change the system radically and to bring the Islamic system back by establishing the Khilafah "Caliphate" ar-Rashidah upon the method of the Prophethood.

He also directed a message to the demonstrators; to conduct peaceful demonstrations, so that they do not provide the Government with an excuse to punish them. As it is also the Shar' rule on the matter; it is not allowed to damage the property of others and that of the State.

 Jazakum Allah Khairan
