Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Iraq offers its condolences to the people of Iraq, in particular, and the Muslim Ummah, in general, on one of its members, a dear good and sincere brother:

Laith Al-Azzawi (Abu Ruqqayya)

He passed away on Monday 2/6/2014 CE, following a heart attack. A large funeral procession attended by his brothers and the members of his neighborhood took place and witnessed his burial.

The deceased joined the Dawah carriers at an early stage, when mentioning Hizb ut Tahrir was considered a crime that leads to the persecution of the regime and its henchmen. After the occupation, he continued his commitment in carrying the Dawah with the sincere workers for the resumption of the Islamic way of life by establishing the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" upon the method of the Prophethood, until he surrendered his soul to the Generous and Merciful Creator.

This is how we view him and we do not commend any one to Allah.

May Allah (swt) shower him with His (swt) abundant mercy and grant him an abode in Jannah.

May Allah bestow his family with best patience and solace; our eyes tear, and our hearts are sad, and we are saddened for your loss Abu Ruqqayya.

We only utter what pleases our Lord (swt):

((إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ))

"Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return" [Al -Baqara: 156]
