The Place of a Government that Does Not Take Care of its People’s Interests and Does Not Safeguard their Security is a Bottomless Pit
(Translated)

On the 28th night, within the last blessed days of the month of Ramadan, whilst the people were standing, bowing, prostrating and supplicating to Allah ‘Azza Wa Jalla to release the trial that is afflicting the people of Iraq and the Islamic Ummah in general, or whilst they were seeing to the needs of their family and children, the hand of treachery and betrayal extended to the trading area of Al-Karrada in the middle of the capital Baghdad. At this time in the midst of congested crowds of people there was a suicide bomb in a refrigeration truck cased with heavy explosives that led to the loss of around 200 lives and an equal number of wounded - according to the Reuters news agency – left in its wake a huge destruction of buildings, trade shops and properties swallowed in a large fire. That was in the case where the AFP correspondents reported that 14 ambulances were still working until the middle of the day at the place of attack, in addition to tens of fire engines to control the fire.

When we condemn this criminal behaviour that took the lives of the innocent and guiltless, defying the sanctity of the blessed month, demanding the blood and properties that Allah has forbidden to be assaulted or harmed. This is in accordance to His Speech Subhaanahu:

(مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا)

“Whoever killed a person not in retaliation for murder or for corruption [done] in the land, then it is as if he has slain mankind in its entirety” [Al-Maa’idah: 32]
And the statement of His Messenger (saw):

«كلُّ المُسلمِ على المُسلمِ حرامٌ دمُهُ ومَالهُ وعِرضُه»

“Every Muslim to another Muslim is Haram (a sanctity not to be violated), his blood, his property and his honour”.

And irrespective of the true criminal we reject what the followers of ISIS and others from amongst the sectarian militias struggling amongst themselves wrecking the Dunya in their wake and it is that which makes its harm widespread in the midst of the silence of the hired media and the accomplishments they attribute to them.

And the shortcomings of the government which is subservient to the disbelieving America and its security departments is disgraceful and shameful. This is a matter that everyone can affirm in spite of the huge amounts of money that have been designated to maintain the security of the people of Iraq who are being tried by them. And it is those departments who bear the full responsibility due to the breakdown of their security planning, its ineffectiveness and its lack of usefulness. That is not just and only now, but rather it has been the case since the oppressive occupation in the year 2003. The people have become fed up of their feeble explanations and their searching for whom they can throw blame upon to justify their incompetency... And here they are today, on the eve of the blessed Eid ul-Fitr, warning the people not to go out to public places out of fear of similar criminal explosions. Is that not just an assistance provided to the killers against their victims..?!

And finally, the resilient people of Iraq, despite the attempts to fragment and divide it by putrid sectarianism and rotten nationalism, have become very close to toppling everything that disbelieving America has built up, and to hurl out all those who participated and shared in accomplishing their criminal plans as a just recompense for the treachery to Allah ‘Azza Wa Jall, His honourable Messenger and His believing servants, undertaken by their hands. Allah Ta’Aalaa said in his Dhikr (reminder):

(فَلَمَّا نَسُوا مَا ذُكِّرُوا بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَرِحُوا بِمَا أُوتُوا أَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ)

“So when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We opened to them the doors of every [good] thing until, when they rejoiced in that which they were given, We seized them suddenly, and they were [then] in despair” [Al-An’aam: 44].
