Press Release
Hizb ut Tahrir: A Leader that Does Not Lie to Its Ummah, Exploit its Pains, or Trade by them, but Carries a Genuine Project for its Revival based on Islam
(Translated)

The London-based Al-Arab Newspaper published an article by Egyptian writer Hisham Al-Najjar yesterday, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, under the title: "Hizb ut Tahrir Tries Its Luck after the Failures of ISIS and the Ikhwan." In the article, the writer followed Hizb ut Tahrir with the mindset of an informant who practices journalism, claiming that "the Hizb is now trying its luck by exploiting what is happening in Gaza... and that it shares with other Islamic movements the goal of establishing an Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate), as well as their utilitarianism and exploitation of just causes. It has infiltrated state-owned institutions, companies, and educational entities to freely collect money and exploit everything related to supporting Gaza and the Palestinian and Syrian peoples in collecting donations that go to finance its activities," according to him. The truth is that Hizb ut Tahrir does not infiltrate state institutions and associations, nor does it beg for donations to fund its activities. It never accepts any donations from any party, state, or person, whoever they may be. Rather, the expenses needed by the Hizb are paid by its members from their own money and savings out of satisfaction and conviction that it is spending in the cause of Allah. Perhaps this is what angers and provokes them: seeing people who do not accept support from the kafir West and its agents and spend their money in the cause of Allah. As the saying goes, "She accused me of her ailment and slipped away!"

This is the condition of the writer and his likes, the indoctrinated ones. It is natural for such slander, and even more, to come from a man who defends "Takween" and its founders, considering them as enlighteners and believing that they have the right to criticize and renew Islam and its discourse. Certainly, he is one of those indoctrinated by the culture of the kafir West and its promoters, who are disturbed by the call to establish the Khilafah, which signifies the end of capitalism and Western dominance, and what that means in terms of the loss of the money, status, and favor they receive from the regimes they praise.

Hizb ut Tahrir carries the cause of Islam and its project of resuming the Islamic way of life through the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) State on the method of the Prophethood. This is not merely a cause but a Hukm Shari’ (legal obligation) upon the Ummah to implement it in its legitimate way as demonstrated by the Sunnah. The Hizb has existed within the Ummah since its inception, bearing this cause, steadfast upon it, unconcerned with those who disagree with it, neither in its aim nor in its method. It adopts the issues of the Ummah, sincerely advising and guiding it, steadfast in its thought and creed. It has never exploited the issues of the Ummah nor traded on its pains; rather, it feels the Ummah's pain and directs it towards genuine solutions for its just causes. There is no issue more important for the Ummah than reclaiming its authority, implementing its Deen, and uniting under one state ruled by one leader as it once was.

Among the issues of the Ummah that Hizb ut Tahrir has presented an opinion on is the issue of Palestine and Gaza. The Hizb has called for the mobilization of armies for its sake and for the liberation of all of Palestine and the support of its people. It has repeatedly appealed to the Ummah and demanded that it pressure for the mobilization of the armies. Hizb ut Tahrir has particularly directed calls to the Egyptian army to fulfill this duty, asserting that Palestine is not just a neighboring country and its people are not just a brotherly nation, but it is Islamic land owned by the entire Ummah. The obligation to liberate it falls on the entire Ummah, and it is most incumbent upon the surrounding states, foremost the Kinanah army. Therefore, demanding the mobilization of armies and the removal of barriers preventing their movement is the duty of the time. Otherwise, let the esteemed writer tell us how to liberate Islamic lands, how to support our people in Gaza, seek justice for them, and avenge their martyrs? Is it by addressing the international community that participates in their killing and supports their killers? The same international community that, as the writer admitted, has betrayed its own values?

This is just part of what Hizb ut Tahrir offers, and it is certainly not what the disbelieving West or its cultural adherents want. These adherents aim to divert the compass of the revolutionaries, dilute, and sell the issues of the Ummah at a cheap price, enabling the West to dominate them once again.

What the Hizb wants and works for is the cause of the Ummah that everyone must rally around and consider a crucial issue, not deviating from it until they regain their usurped authority, unite their land that was occupied and divided, and rule by the Book of their Lord, which the infidel West has tried to suppress and distort, attacking all those who strive to implement it anew.

But their hopes will be thwarted, for Allah’s promise is coming inevitably, and the glad tidings of His Prophet (saw) are near, by Allah’s will. Soon, there will be a Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.

[فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هُوَ قُلْ عَسَى أَن يَكُونَ قَرِيباً]

“Then they will nod their heads toward you and say, ‘When is that?’ Say, ‘Perhaps it will be soon’” [Al-Isra:51].
