Within the last 24 hours, Denmark has been hit by a series of dramatic events. It is reported that the suspected perpetrator has been killed, so the details will probably remain blurred. Despite this, there has already been an overwhelming amount of statements about this being an attack on Danish values - democracy, freedoms and cohesion of society.

On the 14/1/2015 on TV2, one could follow the story on how a Muslim woman had reported 100 ordinary Danes to the police for making threats against Muslims on Facebook. She had collected 100 selected examples in just one week, which included rocket attacks on mosques and mass killings on Muslims.

Friday the 26th of September 2014, the Danish Prime Minister announced that Denmark will now escalate its participation in the war by sending seven F16 aircrafts and associated personnel. Initially, the Danish fighter jets are to be used for bombardments in Iraq, not because the Danish government has ruled out bombing targets in Syria, but only because the US has not yet requested it.

For the past few days, the Danish media have once again formed the arena for another round of controversy about the Islamic headscarf. This time based on the negative reactions that our Muslim sisters face, when in public.
