O Russia, Enough of your Blatant Lies... Hizb ut Tahrir does not Engage in Material Acts in following the Example of the Great Prophet (saw)!

Sakhalin Media website published a news headline entitled:  "A verdict made on a military personnel accused of glorifying terrorism." The article states: ‘A member of Hizb ut Tahrir was arrested and sentenced on charges of carrying out crimes against the constitutional system of government and for threatening State security. He called for the establishment of an Islamic State -the Khilafah "Caliphate"- and glorified the terrorist activities in North Caucasus'.

Based on this, we in The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir would like to demonstrate and clarify the following points:

Firstly: Hizb ut Tahrir is a political party whose ideology is Islam, it only has only one leadership in the world and its leader is the great scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah. The aim which the Hizb vowed to achieve since its establishment is the resumption of the Islamic way of life through the establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" State, on the method of the Prophet Muhammad (saw). The party's work is political and does not extend to material actions. It works for the establishment of the second rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate" State on the method of Prophethood in the lands which were once part of the Islamic State, as for the other lands like Russia and Europe, the party's work there is focused on protecting the Muslim communities and spreading awareness among the Muslims about the thoughts of Islam and its rulings to commit to them and abide by them, including calling them to support the serious work undertaken in the Muslim lands for the establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" as well as calling non-Muslims to Islam.

Secondly: The Hizb does not have branches around the world that are separated from it or from its leader Ata Bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah, neither does it have military branches; based on this, the news headline is false and baseless.

Thirdly: The Putin regime had consistently on more than one occasion lied and slandered, through his intelligence services men placing weapons and ammunitions in the homes and cars of some of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, to accuse them and criminalize them of terrorist activities. In this instance, Putin is also falsely accusing Hizb ut Tahrir for the same purpose; in an attempt to stigmatize the Hizb with the accusation of terrorism and to tarnish its image in the community, it does this for the purpose of justifying his intelligence services tracking of Hizb ut Tahrir, its members, the sincere workers of Islam and the innocent Muslims in Russia.

Therefore we call upon all the media outlets in Russia to abide to at least the lowest degree of professionalism and journalistic credibility, and to investigate the validity of the information and news they receive prior to publishing it to the Russian population, and to remember that whatever they publish affects society whether in favor of a particular side or against it. Therefore, it creates a public opinion in the community affecting the current events.

As for what is related to the aim and method of Hizb ut Tahrir in Russia, you can obtain complete information from the Hizb's official websites or by directly contacting official spokespersons or media representatives for the Hizb who are available world-wide. Therefore you take information from the main and accurate source, do not fall in the participation of spreading fabricated or incorrect information about the Hizb; and the pleasure of Allah is our intention.
