Hizb ut-Tahrir is organizing an International Media Conference in Beirut, Lebanon on Sunday, 18^th July 2010. The conference is being organized to mark the 89^th annual painful remembrance day of the destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate" on the 28^th Rajab 1342H/ 3^rd March 1924.  The title of the conference is "Hizb ut-Tahrir's opinion on world's major regional and international issues". This conference is being organized after the party in recent years held successful international conferences. In 2007 the party held an International Khilafah "Caliphate" Conference in Indonesia attended by about one hundred thousand people. In 2009 the party held an International Ulama Conference in Indonesia in which thousands of Muslim scholars pledged solidarity with Hizb ut-Tahrir in its struggle for Khilafah "Caliphate". Also in 2009, Hizb ut-Tahrir held an International Economic Conference in Sudan, and highlighted the reasons behind global economic crisis and presented Islamic economic system as the only alternative to the Capitalist economic system. 

The theme of the Beirut conference will be to demonstrate that the Khilafah "Caliphate" state is the global leadership of the Muslim Ummah in facing 21^st century challenges. Re-establishing the Khilafah "Caliphate" is the most vital obligation upon the Muslims and the Khilafah "Caliphate" will restore the Ummah to the position of the number one leading state in the world. Speakers will present the internal and foreign policy of the Khilafah "Caliphate" state. They will also call upon the Muslims to continue their resistance against the aggression of the imperialist crusaders USA-Britain; and the Jewish-Polytheist enemies, Israel and India. Furthermore the speakers will remind the Muslims of their duty to remove the current traitor rulers such as Hasina-Khaleda, Zardari-Gilani, and Erdogan-Karzai.  

The conference will be held in three sessions addressing the following issues:

A- Issues in the Muslim world: Issues in the Middle East (Palestine, Irqa, Sudan); Issues in South Asia (Pakistan, Afghanistan); Issues in South East Asia (Indonesia and the separatist movement); and Issues in West and Central Asia (Cyprus, Turkey, Caucasia, East Turkestan)

B- Issues relation to Islam and Muslims in the West

C- International issues that impact the Muslim Ummah: The global financial crisis; and The global nuclear threat, including the Iranian nuclear issue
