In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful The Blood of Soldiers Is on the Neck of the Australian Government

Three more Australian soldiers have been wounded in Afghanistan yesterday, following an incident less than a fortnight ago in which three were killed and seven injured. It also follows a surprise visit by the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, to Afghanistan earlier this week.

Uthman Badar, media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia, said in this regard,

"The Australian Government, supported by the Opposition, persists in sacrificing Australian soldiers on the altar of American imperial interests. The War in Afghanistan is little more an American war being fought for American political and economic interests. A decade on, it is also, quite evidently, a failed war that has only succeeded in causing death and destruction in Afghanistan. It is time to end the war immediately and withdraw the troops."

"Australian soldiers are now being injured and killed in a vain attempt to put a respectable face on what is inevitably a humiliating defeat for the US and NATO. The blood of these soldiers is squarely on the neck of the Australian Government, who should be held to account for such grossly irresponsible policy, which reflects continued subservience to foreign nations even at the expense of Australian lives."

Ends.
