Pakistan’s eleventh general elections have revealed the intense anger of the Muslims at the status quo. They are angry at the widespread poverty, blatant corruption of the political class and at the turmoil which is a consequence of alliance with the US. However, the new rulers are incapable of bringing change because they are fully committed to the system that created the problems in the first place, Democracy.

It was in the era of ruling by all that Allah (swt) has revealed that our rulers ruled us according to the Quran and Sunnah. Our wealth was circulated without being confined to the wealthiest, so that the poor were relieved of their burdens.

Despite their loud anti-US rhetoric upon Trump’s temporary suspension of military aid, the rulers of Pakistan are quietly working with the Trump administration to rescue the US military from imminent defeat in Afghanistan. The US Secretary of Defence, James Mattis, confirmed the uninterrupted, intimate contact with Pakistan’s rulers.

Like the British Empire and Soviet Russia previously, the United States realizes that it cannot achieve a military victory against the hardy, defiant Afghan Muslims. So, Washington is desperate to secure a political victory, through talks to secure an extensive military, intelligence and private military presence on the doorstep of the world's only Muslim nuclear power
